Meet Marty Dennis, Vice President of Sales Americas

Name: Marty Dennis

Location: Mason, Ohio

Current Position: SVP Sales Americas

How long have you been with the company? 2 years

What does your typical day involve? Most days contain a great variety of activities, planning, forecasting, and working with the sales team and others areas of the business, including technical service, R&D and customer service.

What do you like best about your job? I enjoy working with the diverse group of individuals at Constantia.  It is both challenging and rewarding to work together as a team to move the business forward, developing technologies and winning new business.  We have great examples with Coca Cola Simply Orange Juice, new digital PSL Share A Coke labels and Constellation Brands beer labels in Mexico.

How did you get started in this industry? I graduated from college and worked in project management for a publication printer.  After a few years in publication and commercial printing I moved to an integrated packaging company in their label division. Once I started working in the label business I never looked at the inside of a grocery store the same again.

What are your favorite sports or pastimes? I enjoy playing golf and watching college basketball and football.

Do you have a favorite sports team that you root for? Yes, I enjoy following the Xavier Musketeers college basketball team.  Xavier is a small University located in Cincinnati and they have a great tradition of basketball.  I also follow the pro sports teams in Cincinnati.

What would people be surprised to know about you? I enjoy playing fantasy football.  I started only two years ago playing in a league with my son and last year I played in two leagues.  It is great fun as I follow the Cincinnati Bengals during the season.  I don’t think it will expand to Pokemon Go.

What is your favorite band, movie, or book? Band: The Rolling Stones.  When our kids were younger I would sing a little Mick Jagger to them “You Can’t always get what you want” and they laugh about it now! Favorite Movie would be Hoosiers…..I am from Indiana, hence the movie and my love of basketball.  Favorite Book:  Anything written by Michael Lewis.

What was your favorite holiday/vacation? A Late spring vacation in Colorado with our family.  It was very active with white water rafting, hiking, biking and we enjoyed live music outdoors in the evenings together.  It is the one vacation our kids talk about most often.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received? Work hard and be genuine.  Fortunately, I had mentors early in my career that were great examples.
