The Customer Academy has become an important institution for promoting dialog between Constantia Flexibles and its customers, and this could also be clearly felt in the most recent Customer Academy. The invitation went out this time to partner companies from Germany, Switzerland and Austria. We received a very strong response and welcomed this May, 53 employees from 25 companies – including Aenova Swiss Caps, Merck and Uhlmann, just to name three examples.
The fantastic atmosphere of the Linsberg Asia Hotel in Bad Erlach, where the Customer Academy was held, certainly helped the participants feel relaxed and open. After the participants had a chance to get to know each other, they received an overview of aluminum foils and plastic films, including their manufacturing methods and properties. Dr. Martin Kornfeld, Head of R+D at Constantia Teich, and Dr. Achim Grefenstein, Head of R+D at Constantia Flexibles, also presented the competence centers “Aluminum and Foil Laminate” at Constantia Teich and “Polymer Films and Film Laminates” at Constantia Hueck. The next block of time was focused on production technologies and quality, which was followed by information on new developments in the areas of CONSTANTIA Coldform, CONSTANTIA Blister and Child Resistant, CONSTANTIA Sachet, Stick and Strip Pack. Individual subjects were addressed in more detail in the “marketplace” on the second day. This marketplace allowed machine manufacturers Romaco, Mediseal, Hapa, Rychiger and CSAT Markem-Imaje to present their solutions. Next up was the topic of innovations and how Constantia Flexibles collaborates with its customers to produce them. The program was rounded up with guest talks by Dr. Rolf Abelmann from IVM on the topic of “child safety” and Matthias Giebel from Berndt & Partner, who spoke about how “Packaging Makes the Difference” and made clear that packaging can make a significant contribution to market success even for pharmaceutical products.
