Good reason to celebrate: The new office rooms at Constantia Hueck Folien have been officially dedicated for the processing of print data in Pirk. This could even be considered part of a tradition since Hueck & Cie. was the first company in the world to use computer-generated data for printing packaging in 1979.
The opening of the refurbished electronic image processing suite in Pirk, with the purchase of two new computer systems, builds upon the strong foundations in electronic image processing laid back in 1979. Since then progress has continued at a rapid pace. While it all started with just a few of these relatively low computing power systems, today numerous high-performance computers with innovative software are employed. In-house trained media designers utilize these systems to optimally prepare the data for high-quality rotogravure printing, flexo printing, UV flexo printing and digital printing.
At the opening of the renovation project, Managing Director Axel Glade praised the successful completion of the project in October despite a tight schedule. The facilities were designed according to the most modern ergonomic guidelines and with a consistent colour scheme. The annual meeting of the “Constantia Cylinder Expert Group” was held at Constantia Hueck Folien at the same time as the opening. The participants came from the USA, Mexico, Spain, Russia, Great Britain, Austria and Turkey and also took part in the department opening. The response to the remodeling from all involved was entirely positive.
