Constantia Flexibles KZN is looking to fill the vacancy of a Group Technical Trainer who will be responsible for managing technical training, competency assessments and evaluation of employees
Plus ensuring that standards and training material are continuously updated. The successful incumbent will be expected manage his / her weekly schedule well to ensure that equal amount of time is spent between the two divisions.
For our plant in Pinetown we are searching with immediate effect a
Group Technical Trainer - Flexibles Division
■ To ensure all jobs have updated competencies at all times.
■ To conduct skills / competency audit gaps.
■ To draw up a training plan to close identified gaps in consultation with Shift Leaders and Production
■ To able to tell what type of training intervention is needed to close the competency gaps,
(i.e. 10 – 20 – 70)
■ To support Trainees during the duration of training.
■ To ensure that training material, standard operating procedures, machine manuals are available for
training and are updated.
■ To evaluate effectiveness of training at the end of the training programmes.
■ To coordinate technical training on and off site.
■ Monitor the consistency and quality of the product being produced to meet customer requirements.
■ Assist Operators to maintain condition of machines in order to produce quality outputs at optimum
■ To periodically operate machines on own initiative to ensure competency and to operate machines
when requested by Flexibles management.
■ To conduct pre and post make readies to ensure that production order documentation are complete
and correct .
■ To ensure that the correct tools are always available at the machines when required.
■ To produce quality training updates at required intervals (weekly & monthly)
■ Ensure all employees are fully competent on all competencies of their jobs.
Excellency in Performance
■ Minimum Std 10 [Matric],
■ Post Matric Technical / Production related qualification is a must,
■ Must be Trade Tested
■ At least 5 – 10 years’ operating experience in Printing Industry,
■ Assessing, mentoring, moderating and Facilitation courses and experience are highly recommended.
■ Experience in various training methods.
■ Above average organisation and time management skills.
