Responsible & Ethical Sourcing

We see collaboration throughout the value chain (e. g. in order to implement responsible sourcing certifications or help our suppliers improve) as an important component of a comprehensive approach to sustainability. That’s why Constantia Flexibles is a founding member of the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative and an active member of the New Pastics Economy (NPEC).

The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) was initiated to foster greater sustainability and transparency throughout our industry. Spearheaded by several industry players, the ASI is a non-profit initiative that seeks to mobilise a broad base of stakeholders to establish and promote responsible leading practices, across the aluminium value chain, in business ethics; environmental performance; and social performance.

The New Plastics Economy is an ambitious, three-year initiative to build momentum towards a plastics system that works. Applying the principles of the circular economy, it brings together key stakeholders to rethink and redesign the future of plastics, starting with packaging. Catalyzing change in this global material flow will not only create a more effective plastics system, but will also demonstrate the potential for a wider shift from a linear to a circular economy.
