Based in Northamptonshire, FFP Packaging Solutions has over 55 years of expertise in supplying innovative printed and plain films and laminates across a wide range of categories. All of the flexible packaging that we produce is manufactured on-site, using our state-of-the-art machinery which includes; 2 W+H flexo presses, 4 lamination systems, 2 pouch making machines and 6 slitters.
Our technical expertise and manufacturing capability puts us in an optimal position to drive the innovation of more sustainable flexible packaging solutions and has enabled us to bring to market award winning solutions that can be readily collected in the UK through existing waste collection systems.
Employing 105 people, our Northamptonshire site extends to 120,000 sq ft and is a fully BRC certificated site with a ‘AA’ rating. FFP is an approved supplier to all of the UK retailers for printed flexible packaging.

FFP is committed to maintaining high quality standards and we have strict quality control procedures in place. We are BRC certificated with a ‘AA’ Rating and are also certified to ISO 9001: 2015. We take our environmental responsibility very seriously and strive to make our own processes as sustainable as possible to minimise the company’s environmental impact. We have procedures in place to sort our waste material and send it for recycling, diverting it from landfill and have achieved ISO 14001, the Environmental standard which commits us to continuous improvement of our environmental performance.

Technologies
Digital platemaking
Esko Spark 4835 digital imaging unit, producing plates up to 250 lines per inch.
Printing
Flexographic printing on 8-colour W&H Miraflex presses, including HD flexo print.
Lamination
Solvent based adhesives, cold seal, registered coatings (solvent based & water based), strip lamination (paper and foil based).
Pouch making
Full range of pouches and bags including; stand-up pouches, two or three sided seal flat bags and four sided seal with gusset.
Finishing
Reel slitting, laser scoring, micro-perforation, tactile coatings, hole punching, windows, reseal labels
Specialities
FFP are one of very few flexible packaging converters that can offer a complete solution in-house. From the initial design concept all the way through to final production.
We are a leading sustainable flexible packaging manufacturer and our innovative solutions have won numerous awards and are enabling brands and retailers to divert huge volumes of material from landfill.
Our capabilities include the manufacture of pre-made pouches and bags, mono layer or multi-layer laminates for VFFS and HFFS machines, heatseal lidding films and films for high temperature oven and microwave applications.
Sustainability
FFP have wholeheartedly committed to the development of materials and pack formats that can help to reduce any negative impact on the environment. We have bought to market the following products that can be collected in the current UK waste collection infrastructure:
Recyclable laminates & pouches – versatile mono material laminates available in reel form, pre-made pouches and bags or sachets. Available with high barrier options.
Recyclable lidding film – A resealable lidding film available in PET or PP designed to be used with a tray of the same material to produce a mono material pack. Collected for recycling at kerbside.
Paper packaging solutions - One side coated paper that can be heat or cold sealed and collected via the paper recycling stream. Available in a range of formats and with high barrier options.
