Inspired by the trend toward natural specialties, a kellerbier is being introduced - initially regionally - in the core Krombacher markets as the first type under the brand of “Krombacher Brautradition”. The brewmasters in Krombach are resurrecting an old brewing tradition with the naturally cloudy kellerbier. Previously, unfiltered kellerbier was reserved only for brewmasters who tested it directly from the keg for maturity and quality. Today, anyone can discover this special beer experience.
The natural cloudiness lends this unique beer type its full-mouthed flavor and the original, strong character for special enjoyment. Through the perfect combination of fine hop notes with intensive malt aromas, the beer delivers a strong and full-flavored treat for the taste buds.
The traditional craft of brewing is appreciated today more than ever. Reason enough for the Krombacher brewmasters to release an authentic, naturally cloudy beer. The special design of the labels by Constantia Flexibles is nostalgic but includes familiar Krombacher elements, and a specially created box with a wood appearance and texture highlights the traditional character of the brand “Krombacher Brautradition”. The label bears the personal signature of the responsible brewmaster, Manfred Schmidt, who attests to the high quality of the new beer with his name.
The kellerbier is available now in 11 x 0.5 liter and 4 x 6 x 0.33 liter reusable crates as well as in a 20 liter keg for bars and restaurants.
