Constantia Flexibles completes two transactions
Vienna, November 8, 2016 –Constantia Flexibles Group has successfully completed two transactions. It has acquired the pharmaceutical flexible packaging business owned by the Italian company Lamp San Prospero SPA via an asset deal. The new company is called Constantia San Prospero SRL. The transaction was originally announced on October 4.
Constantia San Prospero’s core products are printed aluminum blister foil and coldform slitting for major pharmaceutical companies for mostly southern Europe. It achieved sales of approximately 15 million euros in 2015 and currently has about 50 employees.
In addition, Constantia Flexibles has sold its non-core folding carton business in Mexico, Aluprint Plegadizos, to the Mexican company Grupo Gondi after the transaction received approval from the local anti-trust authorities, with all conditions for completion being met. The transaction was originally announced on May 25.
Aluprint Plegadizos is located at a modern site in San Luis Potosi, with approximately 600 employees. It manufactures folding cartons and high graphics micro-corrugated boxes for the fast moving consumer goods industry in Mexico, the U.S., Canada, Central America and the Caribbean.
