Hey, Hey PLMA!
Constantia Flexibles exhibits flexible packaging solutions for the private label sector with an own booth in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
A private label is a brand not owned by a manufacturer or producer but by a retailer or supplier, who gets its goods made by a contract manufacturer under its own label – private labels are often also referred to as private brands.
Private labels are booming and are gaining in market share – and they all get together at PLMA’s “World of Private Label” international trade fair in Amsterdam, Netherlands once a year. Here retailers, wholesalers and other private label professionals get together with manufacturers to make new contacts and to discover new ideas.
Packaging is an integral part of private labels – so Constantia Flexibles’ Processed Meat Business Unit will be present with an own booth this year again at the fair from May 28 - 29 to exhibit flexible packaging solutions for a broad range of food for humans but also pet food.
“For private labels, the packaging can be crucial for their success. Private labels often compete with known international or local brands – so it is extra important to impress the consumer on the sales shelf”, says Peter Wallach, SVP Processed Meat and Pet Food at Constantia Flexibles.
Of course Processed Meat will have their aluminum containers on display which can serve to package a broad range of foods and are available in different sizes and forms. One of the most popular packaging is a cat shape aluminum tray that stands out on the sales shelf.
Other innovative packaging solutions on display include Pouches and Bags for pet food and Top Web Lidding for sliced meat for example. In addition to that, there will be a selection of snacks packaging and the Toppers solution at the booth.
