New tandem extruder enhances our Spanish production
Investing over €14 million
Meeting the demands of a dynamic market takes more than innovation; it takes commitment. That is why we are investing over €14 million in a new tandem extruder at our Constantia Tobepal plant in Burgos—an addition that will drive growth in the pharmaceutical and food markets while strengthening our production capabilities in Spain.
This project, supported by a €14.1 million investment, brings our total investment in our Spanish facilities to over €45 million in the past six years. The new extruder will increase capacity, allowing us to meet rising demand in consumer and OTC packaging. Additionally, this new line will serve as a backup for our Logroño plant, further ensuring smooth and consistent service across both sites.
As Agustín Sagredo, our SVP and Managing Director, explains, “The link between our two Spanish plants not only increases our production capacity but also allows us to coordinate resources more effectively. With Burgos managing the new extrusion line and Logroño benefiting from increased printing and rewinding volumes, we are well-positioned to balance workloads and meet demand efficiently.”
We expect this expansion to be fully operational by mid-2026, reinforcing our commitment to reliable, well-supported production in Spain. With over a century of experience in this market, we are proud to build on our expertise and continue providing flexible packaging solutions that meet our customers’ evolving needs across Europe.
